Making Cinema 4d Abstracts

Hello everyone, this is my tutoria, and I hope you like it

Making Simple Abstract Shapes in Cinema 4D

1. Open Cinema 4D. (duh)
2. Create a platonic (Objects > Primative > Platonic)
3. Press 'c' to make the platonic editable.
4. Goto Structure > Edit Surface > Matrix Extrude, and use these settings:
Everything defualt, except Z: 175.
5. Select all (Ctrl+A) and repeat Step 4, but use these settings:
Everything defualt, except Z: 15
6. Now add HyperNurbs (Objects > NURBS > HyperNURBS)


You should have something like .

7. Tools > Polygons. Then Tools > Live Selection. Click anywhere on your model, so that a piece of it is highlighted. Then press Ctrl+A to select the whole thing.
8. Heres the fun part . Structure > Bevel. You should now have the Bevel tool selected. Click your mouse anywhere on the screen and move your mouse around a bit and watch your model change. Experiment with this, and you can get some pretty nice looking renders.

The key is to vary the settings and dont use the exact ones I say. Also, try doing other things such as adding deformers, etc.
